When a visa form (DS-160, tourist visa applications, etc.) asks for a Korean address in English, it's important to use the official government romanization. This guide explains how to write a Korean address correctly for visa documents.
The basic format
Search your address with the Korean address converter to get the official English romanization, then use it on your visa form.
- Street Address — road name + number (e.g., 123 Teheran-ro)
- Apartment/Unit — building/unit (e.g., Apt 101-1502)
- City — district (e.g., Gangnam-gu)
- State/Province — city/province (e.g., Seoul)
- ZIP/Postal Code — 5-digit postal code
- Country — South Korea (country code: KR)
DS-160 (US visa application)
The DS-160 accepts English only. Use the format above, put the unit in the Apartment line, select Korea for the country, and enter the district as the city.
